ITINERARY
 |
Day 1: Arrival
Arrival at the airport in Lamezia Terme and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Light House (24km)
We cycle along the coast to the lighthouse at Capo Vaticano where we will be rewarded with a wonderful view. Capo Vaticano is a small village in the middle of one of the prettiest coastal areas of the whole region. Steep cliffs surround the wonderfully deserted bays and their heavenly sandy beaches and views of the sea, whose colour changes from deep blue to turqoise green.
We ride past old farmhouses, through onion fiels and orange orchards. |
Day 3: Die Wineyards (28 km)
Today´s a intermediate strech of cycling, which leads you to the inside of the country, where it is quite mountainous. We cycle via Ciaramiti to Brattirò where we espect wonderful views over the sea. In Briattirò we attend a wine tasting (incl.)
Day 4: The Monte Poro (50 km)
A highlight of this exciting cycling tour is Monte Poro. Here we climb up to a height of 711m with an incline of 10%. Monte Poro is famous for its agricultural importance and its cheese production. Here there is a completely different type of countryside for you to ride through.
Day 5: The Valley (22 km)
Our riding skills will be put to the test when we move off into the Ruffa valley on gravel paths. We will also experience some "downhill" riding.
Day 6: In seventh heaven (45 km)
Today it´s a complete cycling day. We ride to Zungri, where the famous grottoes of Zungri are located (a fascinating Byzantine settlement where there are over 80, some two storey, sandstone houses hewn into the rock). On the way back we are "in flight" on our way back to Tropea.
Day 6: Pure Relaxation
On a free day we can rest and enjoy the merits of the glass-clear sea and heavenly beaches. Of course you can explore the area under your own steam or we can organise a catamaran sailing tour or glass-bottom boat tour for you.
Day 8: Arrivederci
After the last Italian breakfast our guides accompany
you to the airport where it is "arrivederci bella Italia".
For all those who have booked a holiday
extension another stunning week in "INCREDIBILE
CALABRIA" is just beginning.
