ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival - Welcome on Board
Departure point is the port in Tropea.
The latest arrival time for all passengers is 5pm. Those
arriving by plane will be met at the airport by our
tour guide. In the evening the details of the week to
come will be discussed in comfortable surroundings over
a delicious Calabrian dinner.
Day 2: Stromboli and Panarea
After breakfast on board we make the first stretch of
our journey, to Stromboli, which is
one of the few active volcanoes left in Europe. Every
twenty minutes the "sciara del fuoco" spews out glowing
lava towards the sea. A unique show of the power of
nature. On the way there is the possibility of a swim
and a snorkel. Once on Stromboli it is possible to take
an optional tour (at extra cost) up to the crater of
the volcano with a trained guide. Dinner on board.
Day 3: Salina - the Aeolian green pearl
Salina, with its two extinct volcanic summits which poke their two dark green peaks into the blue sky, is the second biggest of the Aeolian Islands and looks like a camel. It will captivate you with its lush vegetation. Almost the whole island has now been declared a national park. Salina is also known for its delicious capers and Malvasier grapes which are tastier than anywhere else in the world. In the evening we dine in a typical local restaurant.
Day 4: Filicudi - skin diving and swimming
After breakfast we will anchor off the reef of Filicudi to make our first swimming and snorkelling stop. A visit to the "Grotta del Bue Marino" is also on the programme. Alicudi enchants with its intact vegetation and its couple of dozen tiny houses, which are built around the small Church of San Bartolomeo on the steep cliffs. In the evening we travel towards Salina.
Day 5: Lipari - the archipelago´s heart
An easy sail to Lipari. This is the
biggest of the islands and offers a very wide variety
of landscapes as well as finds which illustrate the
island's 5000 year history. After the discovery of some
of them the day finishes with a relaxing bath in the
thermal baths of San Calogero, where the oldest sauna
in the world can be found. Dinner on board.
Day 6: Vulcano - sulfur mud baths
Today we go to Vulcano, the home of
hot springs and sulphur baths. This tiny jet black piece
of volcanic rock is only 21 square km and was described
as "the fantastic sulphur flower which blooms in the
middle of the sea" by Guy de Maupassant and it is also
inviting for a walk through the macchia to the crater
or a regenerating bath in a hot healing sulphur bath.
We head towards Panarea in the evening, where you can
experience its exciting nightlife. Evening meal in a
typical local restaurant.
Day 7: Panarea - glamorous lifestyle
Panarea is the smallest of the islands
in the archipelago with only 3.4 square km. It is the
summer retreat for Italy's elite and on its deep green
slopes there are many luxurious villas while the impressive
yachts sway mast to mast in the port. At "Capo Milazze" there are the remains of a Bronze Age settlement. Evening
trip back to Tropea. Dinner on board.
Day 8: Departure
After the last Italian breakfast there is a transfer
to the airport and return flight.
