Location:
Situated on the Ionic coast of Calabria, around 60 km away from the Lamezia Terme airport, Agritursimo Torre del Golfo offers the ideal combination of nature’s wilderness and beach life. It’s hidden away in the middle of a 40 hectare citrus grove and is still only 200 meters away from the beach.

What the Agriturismo lodge offers :
The Agriturismo Torre del Golfo is part of the Colosimo Farm which is steeped in age old history, sitting on grounds that go back centuries. The Colosimo family has grasped the importance of keeping family traditions alive, by which the typical Calabrian farming life of days long gone is depicted.

Some of the farm’s products include citrus fruit, olive oil, honey, asparagus, tomatoes and other vegetables. Depending on the season, guests can get a chance to see the different manufacturing processes, whether on the farm itself or on excursions to oil and wine presses in the region.

The Rooms:
The Agriturismo has several different accommodation options to offer:

Double and single rooms with bath/shower, WC;
2-room-apartments: fitted with living/kitchen area on the ground and the bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor. With view of the sea.
2-room-apartment: on the ground floor with veranda;
3-room-apartments with living/kitchen area and terrace with a view on the ground floor and 2 bedrooms with bathroom on the first floor.

All apartments have air-conditioning and are heated during winter.

Meals:
In the garden there is a gazebo with tables where guests can enjoy Torre del Golfo’s hearty breakfast in the mornings. For lunch and dinner guests will get a wonderful deal at the Tonino Restaurant, which is close by, with 10% off the bill. The Restaurant is also well known for its excellent seafood dishes. Once a week a barbeque is held at Torre del Golfo in with typical Calabrian dishes are served up. It will cost guests around 12.50 Euro, including drinks.

Sport and Recreation:
The fine, white sandy beach is just 200 meters away from the farm and is reached by a private path leading through a pine wood, which is ideal for children. This place gives you a chance to relax and is ideal for sweeping one’s gaze across the heavenly Golfo di Squillace.
Very close to the Agriturismo are other recreation activities to participate in, such as horse riding, beach volleyball, and mountain bike tours. Tennis, football and golfing facilities are also close at hand.

Excursions:
The possibilities are endless. Some worthwhile examples include excursions to Calabria’s National Park in the Sila Mountains or outings to Le Castella.

The Sila Mountains is a chain of mountains with some peaks reaching as high as 2000 meters that is just 30 km away from the sea and which boasts lush vegetation, lakes and wildlife.
Le Castella, which is an Aragonese castle, is set in a beautiful landscape and makes for an interesting outing for those who love history and nature.

Cropani itself has many sites evidencing its thousand-year-old history. Archaeological excavations have uncovered countless artifacts and relics belonging to the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations. They are currently on display at the Duomo di Cropani for the public to enjoy. The Dome itself dates back to the 15th century and is one of the most impressive architectural works in Calabria.

A 120 € deposit per apartment is required upon arrival.
Use of air-conditioning facilities is available at the extra cost of 25 €.
Television sets are available for 20€ per week, per apartment.
A bedroom and bathroom linen service is available for 10 € per person per linen change.

At the farm one can buy organic products such as honey, olive oil, etc as well as other typical goods produced in the area, such as wines, pastries, sausages and cold meats and cheeses.
The Agriturismo is open all year round.
